We consider KAL masking tape to be by far the best and most stable adhesive tape for powder coating. Compared to the standard PT200 tape, KTO offers better adhesion and greater stability. It's also easier to shape and apply overlays.
Another advantage is the thickness of 0.08 mm, which allows the adhesive tape to be removed easily and in one piece after coating – even with a 3-layer process – without laborious weeding.
However, there are differences depending on the manufacturer, supplier and batch!
Important: When applying the tape, make sure the surface is free of grease and dust. It's also crucial to press the tape firmly to ensure adhesion.
Our wooden squeegee from the shop is particularly suitable for this.
